Clash of clans is a gaming app which is developed by famous IT Company Supercell. It works only on devices running on famous OF developed by Apple Company that is iOS. In other words, it is good for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad devices. The game is based on village construction in arcade form. As it is a multi player game, the player has to apply the proper defence system on village so that it can be saved from an attack of other clans (players).  Here are some of the common types of defence systems which have their own weakness abilities.

Cannons 

Cannons are the first defence system which player gets in the starting. It is rather slow but has a fine attacking range & effect. Basically, cannons are made to defend other defence systems like mortar, towers and so on. This is because cannons are perfect in blocking attacks of giants from attacking the defence systems of the village. These are cheap and can be easily upgraded. In addition, they can only attack on land unit, not on the air unit like dragons.

Archer Towers

Archer towers are the finest structure at all levels. They serve as a rigid base which let archers shoot the target. They are highly versatile as they can be used to attack both land and air units. Also, they are able to attack as well as defend the village. This makes them a highly defensive system. In addition, their range is fine and attacking effect is fantastic. But, it takes about 11 levels to complete these structures.

Mortars

Mortars are another fine weapon which can be used for defence. Their attacking range & damage are very good. But, their main weakness is their slow speed.  It takes time to speed up & attack from mortar. Since, they attack all four blocks, hence they must be placed in the centre of the attacking area so that the entire enemy troop gets damaged. Each mortar takes about 7 levels to get completed. Also, it might be slow to reassign new position to mortars. Putting mortar near wizard tower will work fine as the mortar has long range & wizard tower will protect the mortar from attack.

Wizard Towers

Wizards Towers as the name suggest are crystalline structure with wizards a top on it. It takes about 7 levels to complete. Talking about the attacking power, it has a quick attacking rate with a good amount of damage. Unfortunately, it has low range which does not allow it to hit a large area at a time. But, it is good in case of any sudden attack as it can attack again & again over the target with less delay, hence, protects other defence systems like mortars.

Apart from above defence systems, clash of clans has many more. Some of these are only available at higher levels. A player has to spend its resources like gold, elixir or dark elixir to construct such defense systems. No matter what defence system player uses, if the strategy is effective, it can win over another in no time.
